Are we leaving tomorrow?

It sure doesn't feel like it. For some reason neither Steve or I are in "trip" mode today. We have our gear all pulled together and we have everything well planned, but we just aren't feeling it. Maybe it's the fact that I took a red-eye flight last night and I'm exhausted. Poor Steve is tired from staying up late and getting up early to pick me up. I'm sure tomorrow, once we pick up that shiny new bike from the dealer and bring it home to pack it up.....I'm sure then it will finally hit us that we're taking off for a week of riding. But for now? We're both sitting around looking at each other in a bit of a stupor.

There is one person who is ready to roll, though. We talked to Dad today and he's leaving tonight to start his trek to Louisville. He decided to head out early to try and beat some rain that was moving in. According to the radar maps we've been looking at, it's highly likely that we're all going to get wet tomorrow at some point. At least it will be warm rain....the temps look like the lower 90's. Ugh. Muggy.

Well, that's it for today. We'll report again tomorrow and let you know, after riding 420 miles, if we finally feel like we're ready for this trip.

ps - Being the good sister that I am, I did manage to help Steve spend some money today on a brand new digital camera. I'm pretty sure he loves when I come visit and help push him in to making purchases :) He really did need a new one, and this one should be great for taking video and shots along our route. You will be seeing it's output in the coming posts.
